    • My Scene turns some of the assigned SmartPlugs ON and some OFF?

Powering ON or OFF depends on the position of the switch under the Scene > DEVICES. For example: If you have two plugs in a scene named “A” and “B”: • If plug “A” has the switch in the ON position it will turn ON. • If plug “B” has the switch in the OFF position it will turn OFF.

    • Can I create a scene to turn OFF a group of SmartPlugs when I leave my home and turn ON when I return home?

You would need to create two scenes. You may use the two preloaded scenes titled “I’m leaving” and “I’m home.” Assign the desired SmartPlugs to both scenes.

      A. Scene one “I’m leaving.” The switch next to all assign SmartPlugs should be in the OFF position. B. Scene two “I’m home.” The switch next to all assigned SmartPlugs should be in the ON position.

Note: As a result, scene “I’m leaving” will turn OFF the SmartPlugs and scene “I’m home” will turn ON the SmartPlugs.

    • Why is it important to select the appropriate “Service Type”?

The Service Type selected helps Siri identify your SmartPlug better. Siri can identify if your SmartPlug is connected to a light, fan, coffee maker, etc.
