What's Reson8® about?
Reson8® technology is the term we use for our through-body ported speaker chamber technology. In essence, we've taken a concept reserved for high-end audio applications and applied it to the ZN9. Porting speakers gives better bass response characteristics.

What alarm functions does the ZN9 offer?
The ZN9 offers dual alarm functions. Alarm 1 and Alarm 2 can each be set independently (different alarm sources and wake times) to go off everyday, weekdays or only on weekends, provided the calendar is set correctly. Alarm sources include your docked Zune, the AM/FM radio or the buzzer alarm. A gradual alarm feature gently raises the alarm volume.

Are batteries necessary for the ZN9 to operate?
The unit must be connected to a working power outlet to operate. The ZN9 does not operate on batteries. Batteries are for back up purposes only. In the event of a power failure or if the unit is unplugged by accident, the backup batteries temporarily maintain clock and alarm settings.
