iPod does not function
The iH25/26 has a dock to charge and play the iPod shuffle, can I use that to charge my iPhone/other iPod model?
No. The shuffle dock is only for use with an iPod shuffle. Connecting any other device such as an iPhone or iPod via the USB cable that came with it to the iH25/26 can damage the iH25/26, iPhone, iPod or both.

5G (iPod with video) or iPod nano plays but there's no sound from the iH26
Make sure you've adjusted the volume and your iPod is docked properly. If the volume is properly adjusted and your iPod is docked properly but there is still no sound, you may have a problem with your iPod's firmware. Please update your iPod software/firmware to the latest version, available at www.apple.com/ipod/download.
For the moment, you may need to Reset your iPod:
1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off (slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.
2. Press and hold the Menu and center Select buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 10 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

NOTE: A Reset will not affect the music on your iPod.

What models of iPod does the iH26 work with? Which does it charge?
The iH26 docks with 3g, 4g, 5g (video), nano, photo, mini and shuffle and charges them at the same time. You can play any iPod through the iH26, either by docking it (docking models only) or via the line-in jack. The iH26 charges any docking iPod and the shuffle while it's docked until it's fully charged.
Note: The iH26 only charges iPods or shuffle while operating on standard electrical current, not on batteries.

Which Insert Fits Which iPod Model?
The shuffle fits the shuffle dock on top of the unit and needs no insert.
The mini fits the iPod mini insert.
The thin insert fits these models:
• iPod 3rd generation 10-15 GB and 20 GB
• iPod 4th generation 20 GB
• iPod Photo 30 GB
• ipod 5th generation (iPod with video) 30GB*
The thick insert fits these models:
• iPod 3rd generation 30 GB and 40 GB
• iPod 4th generation 40 GB
• iPod Photo 40 GB and 60 GB
• ipod 5th generation (iPod with video) 60GB*
The nano insert fits these models:
• iPod nano 1GB, 2GB and 4GB
• The 5g iPod (iPod with video) uses replacement rubber pads (see 5G insert card shipped with unit) to fit the thin or thick insert, depending on your 5G model.
* for 30G model: replace rubber pads on thin insert with 2 rubber pads from card
* for 60G model: replace rubber pads on thick insert with 2 rubber pads from card

Do I need an iPod to use the iH26?
Not at all. While the iH26 is designed for use with the iPod or shuffle, you can connect any line-level audio source (such as CD players, other MP3 players, your old cassette or 8 track tape player, etc.) via the line in jack to enjoy great sound on the go.

Will the iH26 work in Europe?
If operating on batteries, yes,the iH26 will work splendidly all around the world. Otherwise, the iH26 power adaptor is made for North American (120v) standards only, and so must not be plugged in elsewhere to avoid damage to the iH26.

How To Set Clock Time
This unit has a 12/24 hour Time Set Switch (located on the back of the unit) which allows you to display the time in standard 12 hour AM and PM mode or in 24 hour display mode. In 12 hour mode, 1 o'clock in the afternoon displays as 1:00 with the PM indicator. In 24 hour mode, this displays as 13:00 with no PM indication.
1. Press and hold the Time Set Button located on the top of the unit for 2 seconds until the display flashes. Press the Hour Set Button until the current hour is displayed. Next, press the Sleep/Minute Set Button to set the current minute. When using the 12 hour display, remember to set the correct AM or PM (an icon to the right of the time display is the PM indicator; there is no AM indicator).
2. Press the Time Set Button again to confirm clock setting. You should hear 2 beeps indicating the clock time is set.

How to Set Alarm
1. Press and hold the Alarm Set Button for 2 seconds until the display flashes. Press the Hour Set Button until the desired alarm hour is displayed. Next, press the Sleep/Minute Set Button to set the desired alarm minute. When using the 12 hour display mode, remember to set the correct AM or PM (an icon to the right of the time display is the PM indicator; there is no AM indicator).
2. Press the Alarm Set Button again to exit the setting mode. You should hear 2 beeps indicating the alarm time is set.
Note: Once you set the alarm time, the alarm will be automatically armed. The Alarm Icon will appear to indicate the alarm is armed.
Make sure to adjust volume level for comfortable wake up volume.

What alarm functions does the iH26 offer?
The iH26 lets you wake to your iPod or a standard buzzer alarm. It offers a "gentle wake" feature which gradually increases the volume of the alarm. It also features a standard snooze bar function. You cannot use the shuffle or a line-in audio device as an alarm source with the iH26.

What is the Travel Lock?
The iH26 features a Travel Lock Switch (located on the back of the unit) to prevent settings from being inadvertantly changed if buttons are accidently depressed in transit. When the Travel Lock Switch is in locked position, all button functions are blocked and the locked icon will appear on screen. Move the Travel Lock switch to the unlocked position to enable all button functions.
NOTE: To avoid possible damage, make sure neither your iPod nor shuffle is docked in the iH26 during transit.

iPod does not function
If your iPod doesn't function (is frozen or locked up), you may have a problem with your iPod's firmware. Please update your iPod software/firmware to the latest version, available at www.apple.com/ipod/download. In the meantime, you can reset your iPod (see below).
iPod batteries: Please refer to Apple website www.apple.com and note that iPod batteries may eventually require replacement.
