No, only Apple iPod models will dock on the iH4. However, any portable audio device can play through the iH4 by connecting it via a patch cord to the line-in jack.

The iH4 clock display shows 24 hour/military time. How do I get a 12 hour display?
Press and hold the Time Set button for 3 seconds, then release it and click the Alarm Set button once to switch from 24 hour mode to 12 hour mode.

No. The accent light will stay on when the unit is plugged in.

Will the iH4 work in Europe/Overseas?

What alarm functions does the iH4 offer?
The iH4 lets you wake to your docked iPod or the buzzer alarm. A gradual alarm feature gently raises the alarm volume.

There is a battery in the iH4, but it isn't working
The unit must be connected to a working power outlet to operate. The iH4 does not operate on battery power. The battery is for back up purposes only. In the event of a power failure or if the unit is unplugged by accident, the backup battery temporarily maintains clock and alarm settings.

Does the iH4 come with a remote control?

Is the iH4 compatible with iPhone?
The iH4 will charge and play the iPhone, provided you have an insert for the iPhone. Your iPhone must be in "airplane mode" to avoid interference when the iPhone communicates with cell towers.

Does the iH4 come with 3rd generation Nano insert?
Yes. The iH4 comes with inserts for these models:
• Insert 9 for the thin iPod with video (30GB)
• Insert 10 for the thick iPod with video (60, 80 GB)
• Insert 13 for 3rd generation Nano
• Insert 14 for the iPod Touch
For other iPod models, please use the insert that came with your iPod. If you do not have an insert for your model of iPod, you can purchase one from an Apple store, order from , or order it here.

The iH4 turned on by itself
Interference from nearby wireless devices such as a wireless computer, cell phone, or TV remote control can affect the iH4. To avoid this interference, keep the iHome away from wireless devices.
