Technical Notes: Not compatible with iPod models released in 2003 or earlier.

What's Reson8® about?
Reson8® technology is the term we use for our through-body ported speaker chamber technology. In essence, we've taken a concept reserved for high-end audio applications and applied it to the iH12. Porting speakers gives better bass response characteristics.

Are batteries necessary for the iH12 to operate?
The unit must be connected to a working power outlet to operate. The iH12 does not operate on batteries.
Batteries are for back up purposes only. In the event of a power failure or if the unit is unplugged by accident, the backup batteries temporarily maintain clock and alarm settings.

What iPod models is the iH12 compatible with?
The iHome iH9 is compatible with all the latest iPod models, and includes inserts for the 3rd generation nano, iPod touch and iPhone.

Is the iH12 compatible with iPhone?
The iH12 will charge and play the iPhone as long as you have the correct insert.
Your iPhone MUST be in "airplane mode" to avoid interference when the iPhone communicates with cell towers. (back to top)
The iH12 turned on by itself. What's going on?
Interference from nearby wireless devices such as a wireless computer, cell phone, or TV remote control can affect the iH12. To avoid this interference, keep the iHome away from wireless devices.

The iPod alarm goes off for a minute then switches to buzzer.
Download the latest version of
iTunes
and update the latest firmware for your iPod. The latest firmware should correct this issue.

What alarm functions does the iH12 offer?
The iH12 offers two separate alarms (Alarm 1 and Alarm 2) which can each be set independently with different alarm sources and wake times.
A gradual alarm feature gently raises the alarm volume.
